I’ve got a Gibson Les Paul GA-40 amp and I’m looking for some information.

I’ve done some research, but I can’t find much information other than some online forums.

But, good info here: guy has set up a "Gibson Amp Project" on hi website. Dont let your tech "shotgun" the coupling capacitors, those are probably yellow Astrons and part of what makes that amp sound so good. I have not been able to A/B the GA-20 vs the GA-20T to offer an opinion.

seems to be a good source: I know the two tones were the earlier GA20's than the tweed GA20. No trem, it's a GA-20 rather than GA-20T.5Y3GT rectifier and a pair of 6v6s. I just got it, so it's off to the tech for a checkup and grounded cord before I do anything with it. But I really like the 2 different preamp tubes in the 20T.
